Live Blogging Day 2 at Government 2.0 Camp
Written by: Mahdi Gharavi
It has been another hazy morning in Georgetown, we could have used better wheater & less humidity. Today has been a smaller crowd with a few different faces (some people could not make it on Friday) which is typical of the second days at Barcamps. Many people fall off cause of weekend enguagements, family responsibilities & events.
However, the topics suggested were good, everything from “Citizen 2.0 vs Patriot 2.0″ to “Mobile Democracy” were being discussed. It has been my experience that second day Barcamp conversation is always better and more in depth. It definitely held true during the two sessions I held in the afternoon. There was only about 5-8 people in them but everybody seemed to be pretty knowledgeable about the topics being discussed, so the conversation great. It seemed like we ran out of time really fast, maybe it would have been better if the sessions were an hour.
The MetroStar Team was on point and I was psyched see such good support from the team.
